Kadapa Collector uses QR codes to bring citizen feedback into grievance redressal

Kadapa: In a move to make public grievance redressal more responsive, the YSR Kadapa district administration in Andhra Pradesh is asking citizens to record their feedback on the quality of services they receive through the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS).

District Collector Dr Cherukuri Sridhar has asked residents to make feedback a regular part of the grievance process. QR codes have been installed at district and mandal-level PGRS centres, as well as government offices frequently visited by the public, allowing citizens to submit their feedback using their mobile phones.

After receiving a PGRS service, citizens can scan the QR code and record their experience directly in the system. The responses reach the official PGRS platform and will help the administration assess public satisfaction, identify shortcomings and consider citizens’ suggestions for improving service delivery.

The initiative is part of the State government’s effort to continuously assess the quality of services provided through PGRS. The focus is not only on the disposal of grievances but also on understanding how citizens experience the services delivered by the administration.

Dr Sridhar has also urged residents to use the Public Grievance Redressal Forum held every Monday at the District Collectorate and all mandal offices. Citizens can submit their grievances through these forums and are encouraged to provide feedback on the services received.

Residents can also use the 1100 toll-free number to check the status of their complaints.

The QR-based mechanism gives the district administration a direct and structured channel for citizen feedback, making public satisfaction an additional input in assessing grievance redressal and improving government services.
