New Delhi: IndiGo is set to expand its domestic network this winter by adding new routes that connect tier-2 and tier-3 cities, aiming to make regional air travel more accessible and support economic activity in smaller centres.
The new services include daily direct flights between Jaipur and Guwahati, and daily flights between Jaipur and Imphal with a short layover in Guwahati. Varanasi will see thrice-weekly direct flights to Durgapur and thrice-weekly services to Bhubaneswar via Durgapur. Seasonal daily flights between Bengaluru and Jaisalmer are also being introduced.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Sales, IndiGo, said, “We are glad to be introducing these new routes in line with our commitment to further enhance domestic connectivity across tier-2 and tier-3 cities in the country. With these new flights, IndiGo is connecting these cities to our vast domestic and international network, opening new avenues for trade, tourism and cultural exchange.”
The airline said the expansion is designed to provide more options for both business and leisure travellers while strengthening regional air links.
