New Delhi: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a limited-period ₹1 ‘Freedom Plan’ offering one month of free 4G services to celebrate India’s Independence Day. The plan gives users access to BSNL’s indigenously developed 4G network at no cost and includes unlimited local and STD voice calls, 2 GB of high-speed data per day, 100 SMS per day, and a free BSNL SIM.
BSNL Chairman and Managing Director A Robert J Ravi said, “With BSNL’s 4G—designed, developed, and deployed under the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ mission—we are proud to be putting India among a select group of nations that have built their own telecom stack. Our ‘Freedom Plan’ gives every Indian a chance to test and experience this indigenous network for 30 days—free of cost—and we are confident they will see the BSNL difference.”
He added that BSNL is in the process of rolling out 100,000 4G sites across the country using Make-in-India technology, which he described as a significant step towards building secure, high-quality, and affordable mobile connectivity in India.
Citizens can avail the offer by visiting their nearest BSNL Customer Service Centre or retailer, or by calling the toll-free number 1800-180-1503.
