
Pune: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), Pune, to enhance collaboration between industry and academia in aerospace research and technology development. The agreement was signed by HAL Management Academy’s Executive Director G Srikantha Sharma and DIAT Vice Chancellor BHVS Narayana Murthy in the presence of HAL Chairman and Managing Director DK Sunil and senior officials from both institutions.
The partnership will allow HAL executives to enrol in master's and PhD programmes at DIAT, participate in specialised courses on emerging technologies, and engage in faculty and student exchange initiatives. It also includes provisions for joint research projects, seminars, and conferences to advance India's capabilities in defence and aviation.
This collaboration aims to strengthen research, accelerate skill development, and contribute to India's growing presence in aerospace and defence technology.
