New Delhi: Building on the success of its earlier phase, Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) has signed an MoU with CIPET to roll out SAKSHAM 2.0—an expanded skill development programme aimed at unemployed and underprivileged youth in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand.
The agreement was formalised at HURL’s Corporate Office in the presence of Dr. Siba Prasad Mohanty, Managing Director, HURL, along with senior officials from both HURL and CIPET.
SAKSHAM 2.0 will train 418 young people from Gorakhpur, Sindri, Dhanbad, Barauni and Begusarai in industry-oriented trades such as plastics processing, injection moulding, recycling and tool-room operations. The four-month residential course will offer structured technical training, accommodation, certification, industry exposure and a monthly stipend, creating a comprehensive learning environment.
With a clear focus on employability, the programme will provide robust placement assistance through CIPET’s strong industry network. The initiative is expected to support meaningful career opportunities and enhance socio-economic prospects in the three states.
