New Delhi: Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) has extended its skill development initiative, SAKSHAM, to the CIPET campus in Ranchi, Jharkhand. After earlier rollouts in Lucknow and Hajipur, the programme has now begun training two new batches comprising 80 unemployed youth from Dhanbad district in job-oriented technical skills.
The initiative is part of HURL’s Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) commitment to bridge the skill gap and enhance vocational education for underprivileged youth. In total, the SAKSHAM programme aims to train 320 candidates across Gorakhpur, Barauni and Dhanbad through structured courses delivered at CIPET centres in Lucknow, Varanasi, Hajipur and Ranchi. The training focuses on two specialised areas, Machine Operator, Plastic Processing and Injection Moulding.
The launch at CIPET Ranchi included a lamp-lighting ceremony and distribution of training kits. The event was attended by representatives from HURL and CIPET.
The fully residential programme is designed to ensure that participants can focus on their learning without the burden of financial concerns. It equips them not just with technical skills but also a path to long-term employment in a growing industrial sector.
With its launch in Ranchi, SAKSHAM continues its mission of preparing a skilled workforce and promoting inclusive growth in regions where HURL operates.
