New Delhi: Joydeep Dasgupta has been selected by the Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) for the position of Director (Production) at NMDC Limited, a Schedule ‘A’ Central Public Sector Undertaking (PSU). Dasgupta currently serves as the Executive Director (Mines) at the Jharkhand Group of Mines, Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), under the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).
His selection for the post follows an interview process in which a total of 12 candidates were considered. However, his recommendation is subject to the outcome of a case filed in the High Court of Karnataka.
Pending the necessary clearances and approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), Dasgupta will take on the role of Director (Production) at NMDC. The position has been vacant and awaits his appointment. /BI
