New Delhi: As Manoj Kumar Dubey, IRAS, prepares to begin his role as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Indian Railway Finance Corporation, he has penned a note to his colleagues, a reflection on his six-year journey at CONCOR, filled with both nostalgia and hope for the future.

"As I take a moment to reflect on our shared journey, I am filled with optimism, recognising that even the most challenging days have transformed into cherished memories through our collective camaraderie. My six years in this esteemed company have been a remarkable experience, and as I prepare to embark on a new chapter as CMD of IRFC on October 10th, I carry with me the warmth of our multifaceted experiences," Dubey writes.

He recalls the challenges they faced together, particularly the trials of the COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertainties surrounding disinvestment.

"In retrospect, our journey has been filled with joy, positivity, and resounding success. Together, we navigated the formidable challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the spectre of disinvestment, emerging not only unscathed but flourishing, thanks to our diligence and resilience. From day one, you welcomed me with unparalleled generosity, and before long, I became a Concorian, working seamlessly alongside you. Our collective achievement of being rated 'Outstanding' for three consecutive years (with FY23-24 projected at 99.25 percent) stands as a testament to the diligence, integrity, and tireless motivation that defines this remarkable team. My heartfelt gratitude goes to each of you for embracing me so warmly, allowing me to contribute and share in the success of this esteemed company. I am privileged to depart with an abundance of cherished memories and deep gratitude."

In his note, Dubey invites his colleagues to remember him during their moments of triumph, whether at work, on the sports field, or during musical soirées.

"I extend my heartfelt appreciation to my current board colleagues for their encouragement, and to my former board members with whom I shared invaluable experiences. I am immensely grateful for your unwavering support, which has made my tenure here both enriching and enjoyable. The connections I have fostered across not only F&A but all departments have significantly amplified my passion for working tirelessly. I look forward to future collaborations.

Please remember me in your happy moments of triumph – whether at work, on the sports field, or during a musical soirée. And should you face any challenges, you won’t find me far away!"

As he bids farewell, Dubey acknowledges that words cannot fully capture the depth of his emotions.

"While words may inadequately express the depth of my feelings, the time has come to say goodbye. I shall cherish the unforgettable memories we have created together. As we often say, 'Once a Concorian, always a Concorian.' You will always find me acting as your brand ambassador, in both actions and spirit!

"Every ending is a new beginning, and as we both evolve, our paths will transcend time. As I take my leave, I leave a piece of my heart with all of you, filled with beautiful memories and heartfelt well-wishes," the note concludes.
