New Delhi: National Fertilisers Ltd (NFL), a major state-owned player in India’s urea production sector, has announced its board’s approval for a Rs 208 crore investment to build a new facility dedicated to water-soluble fertilisers and micronutrients in Madhya Pradesh.
This strategic move aligns with NFL's ongoing expansion into diversified agricultural solutions, which include bio-fertilisers, industrial chemicals, certified seeds, and other agrochemicals.
Alongside the new investment, NFL will be closing its nano urea production facility at Nangal in Punjab, as detailed in a recent regulatory filing.
NFL operates five gas-based ammonia-urea manufacturing units across Punjab, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh, and continues to be a significant contributor to India's fertiliser production sector.
