New Delhi: NBCC (India) Limited, a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RailTel Corporation of India Limited (RAILTEL), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, to collaborate in developing Data Centre projects from ‘concept to commissioning’ across India and overseas for a period of five years.
The MoU was signed by Pradeep Sharma, ED (BD), NBCC and J.S.Marwah, Company Secretary and GM (Law) in the presence of K.P. Mahadevaswamy, CMD, NBCC and Sanjai Kumar, CMD, RailTel along with Saleem Ahmad, Director (Projects), NBCC, Dr. Suman Kumar, Director (Commercial), NBCC, Anjeev Kumar Jain, Director (Finance), NBCC and other senior officials from both organizations.
As per the MoU, NBCC will offer Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for the construction of Data Centre buildings and associated civil/passive infrastructure, while RailTel will provide expertise in planning, designing, supply, installation, testing, commissioning (SITC), and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of IT-related infrastructure for Data Centres.
This collaboration is designed to leverage the core competencies of both organizations, enabling them to supplement each other’s capabilities and enhance client acquisition and service delivery efficiency on a long-term, sustainable basis.
