NTPC Green Energy’s total commercial capacity has increased to 7,419.975 MW, up from 7,407.475 MW, further strengthening its position in India’s renewable energy sector

NTPC Green Energy adds 12.5 MW solar capacity in Bhuj, expands renewable portfolio

New Delhi: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has begun commercial operations for a 12.5 MW solar power capacity as part of its 37.5 MW project in Bhuj, Gujarat.

 

The project is owned by Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Limited, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd., which is fully held by ONGC NTPC Green Private Ltd., a joint venture between ONGC and NTPC Green Energy.

 

With this addition, NTPC Green Energy’s total commercial capacity has increased to 7,419.975 MW, up from 7,407.475 MW, further strengthening its position in India’s renewable energy sector.

 

The newly commissioned solar capacity marks another step in NGEL’s efforts to accelerate India’s transition to clean energy and achieve the country’s ambitious sustainability goals.

 

NTPC Green Energy continues to grow its renewable portfolio through strategic collaborations and capacity expansions across solar, wind, and hybrid projects, reinforcing its role as a major contributor to India’s green energy ambitions.
