Hyderabad: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) to work together on developing a range of renewable energy projects. The agreement was signed in Hyderabad in the presence of N Balram, Chairman and Managing Director of SCCL, along with senior representatives from both organisations.

Under the partnership, NGEL and SCCL will “identify and pursue business opportunities in the renewable energy sector, including solar, wind, and hybrid power projects”. The collaboration will also explore emerging clean energy options such as energy storage systems, green hydrogen, related green hydrogen derivatives and green mobility solutions.

Both organisations view the initiative as an opportunity to expand their clean energy portfolios while supporting India’s broader shift towards sustainable and low-carbon energy systems.
