Lucknow: In a heartfelt initiative to support underprivileged children, NTPC Uttara Club distributed essential supplies, including food items, hygiene kits, winter garments and footwear, to students of Gulam Hussain Purwa Government Primary School in Lucknow. The event, organised as part of NTPC-NRHQ’s corporate social responsibility efforts, marked the celebration of the 76th Republic Day on 26 January 2025.
The initiative aimed to provide nutritional support and improve hygiene awareness among children. In addition to distributing food and winter essentials, special malnutrition and hygiene kits were given to girl students, reinforcing the club’s commitment to child welfare.
Leading the initiative, Vijaya Rao, president of Uttara Club, engaged with the children, encouraging them to prioritise their education and strive for a better future. Senior members Neelkamal and Sangita Singha Ray, along with other committee members, participated in the event, demonstrating the club’s dedication to social welfare and community development.
