New Delhi: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has announced the launch of its National Apprenticeship Drive 2025, offering more than 2,600 apprenticeship positions across India. The initiative, launched under the Apprentices Act, 1961, aims to provide young professionals with practical training and exposure to core operations in the country’s energy sector.

The programme will offer hands-on learning opportunities across 25 ONGC work centres, including Dehradun, Delhi, Mumbai, Vadodara, Sivasagar, Rajahmundry, Chennai, Mehsana, Ankleshwar, and Agartala, among others.

According to ONGC, “This nationwide initiative aims to equip India’s youth with practical skills and real-world experience at the core of the country’s energy sector.”

The apprenticeship drive reflects ONGC’s continued focus on workforce development and its efforts to strengthen India’s skilled manpower base in line with national objectives for employment generation and industrial growth. Through this initiative, ONGC seeks to prepare a new generation of skilled professionals ready to contribute to the evolving energy landscape.
