New Delhi: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has migrated its corporate website to the secure ‘.bank.in’ domain (https://pnb.bank.in), in compliance with the Reserve Bank of India’s directive and under the guidance of the Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT).
The bank announced on Tuesday that the transition marks a significant step in strengthening the cybersecurity framework of the Indian banking sector. With this, PNB has become the first public sector bank in the country to adopt the ‘.bank.in’ domain.
According to PNB, the move reaffirms its focus on safe and secure digital banking. The ‘.bank.in’ domain has been designated exclusively for banks, offering stronger security features to prevent fraud, improve resilience against cyber threats, and boost public confidence in digital transactions.
