New Delhi: RITES Limited, a Navratna public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NABARD Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. (NABCONS), a subsidiary of NABARD, to work together on infrastructure and rural development projects in India and abroad.

The collaboration is expected to leverage the domain strengths of both organisations to support inclusive growth and sustainable development. While NABCONS brings in its experience in agriculture, rural development, natural resource management, and capacity building, RITES will contribute with its engineering and project execution expertise across the transport and urban infrastructure sectors.

The MoU sets the ground for a wide range of consultancy and project management services in areas such as rural and urban infrastructure, green mobility, agri-logistics, climate-resilient development, digital infrastructure, smart cities, multimodal transport systems, water and irrigation, third-party inspections, and AI-driven infrastructure solutions.

Both organisations will also explore international opportunities, particularly in projects supported by multilateral development banks and global agencies.

With operations in over 55 countries and a 51-year track record in infrastructure development, RITES continues to expand its global reach. This partnership with NABCONS is aimed at strengthening its efforts in supporting infrastructure growth in rural and semi-urban regions.
