New Delhi: Sanjay Gaur, known for his work in the pharmaceutical and financial sectors as well as his social initiatives in Uttar Pradesh, has been appointed as part-time Non-Official (Independent) Director on the board of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC). He has also been approved as an Additional Director of the company.
Gaur, 50, is a commerce graduate from Deen Dayal Upadhyay University, Gorakhpur (1994), and holds a diploma in Sales & Marketing Management from the National Institute of Sales, Prayagraj (1996). A self-employed professional and social worker, he brings over 15 years of experience in the private sector to the IRCTC board.
Beyond his professional background, Gaur is actively involved in community initiatives. In 2017, he led one of the largest plantation drives in Gorakhpur district, reflecting his interest in sustainable development and grassroots engagement.
Prior to this, he served as an Independent Director at Telecommunications Consultants India Limited (TCIL), a public sector enterprise under the Department of Telecommunications, from November 2021 to October 2024.
