New Delhi: In a significant move to enhance convenience for visitors, tickets for the upcoming Surajkund Mela will now be available for purchase through the DMRC Momentum दिल्ली सारथी 2.0 app. This initiative follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Haryana Tourism Corporation at Metro Bhawan, in the presence of Dr. Vikas Kumar, MD of DMRC, and Dr. Sunil Kumar, MD of Haryana Tourism Corporation.
As per the MoU, DMRC will facilitate the sale of Surajkund Mela tickets via its popular app, official website, and physical counters stationed at both Metro stations and the Mela venue. This move aims to streamline the ticketing process for the Mela, making it more accessible for attendees.
In addition to ticket sales, DMRC will also assist in the event's promotion by making public announcements and displaying scrolling messages on digital screens at selected Metro stations. The collaboration extends further with DMRC managing 10 parking lots for two-wheelers and four-wheelers, ensuring smooth visitor experience.
The MoU between DMRC and Haryana Tourism Corporation is set to last for three years, with the possibility of extension through mutual agreement. This partnership builds on the success of the India International Trade Fair, where DMRC Momentum 2.0 app was used for ticket sales earlier this year.
The Surajkund Mela, a popular cultural and handicrafts fair, is set to take place from February 7th to 23rd, 2024, and this collaboration aims to make the event more accessible, ensuring a seamless experience for visitors.
