Bhubaneswar: Six Indian Police Service (IPS) officers have been promoted to the grade of Inspector General of Police (IGP) and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in Odisha.
As per the media reports, Deepak Kumar, Asish Kumar Singh and Satyabrata Bhoi, all of 2004 batch IPS officers, have been promoted to the grade of IGP. “The place of posting of the officers will be decided by the Home Department,” said a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department today.
Three 2008 batch IPS officers – Umashankar Dash, Prakash R and Satyajit Nayak – have been promoted to the grade of DIG of police. 2004-batch IPS officer Nitinjeet Singh, who was on central deputation, has been allowed proforma promotion to the grade of IG of Police in Level-14 of Pay Matrix with effect from January 1, 2022.
Six police personnel – Anupama Jame, Raghu PR, Parmarsmit Parshottamdas, Jagmohan Meena, Mukesh Kumar Bhamoo and L Dibya , all of 2013 batch, have been promoted to Junior Administrative Grade (Non-functional). Three senior cops – Akhileswar Singh, Brijesh Kumar Rai and Charan Singh Meena – have been promoted to Selection Grade. /BI/
