Itanagar: Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu, has applauded the Union Budget 2024-25, highlighting its strategic balance between economic prudence and ambitious growth.

 

"The Union Budget 2024 brilliantly exemplifies a strategic balance between economic prudence and ambitious growth, showcasing a grand roadmap for a resilient and inclusive future," wrote CM Khandu in his post on X. He emphasized that the budget's focus on sustainable development, with nine priorities including significant investments in renewable energy and climate resilience projects, will further speed up the momentum of all-round development.

 

Social sectors have received a robust boost, with increased allocations for healthcare, education, and welfare schemes aimed at uplifting marginalized communities. "Infrastructure development is another cornerstone of this Budget, with substantial funds earmarked for modernizing transportation, urban infrastructure, and rural connectivity," he added.

 

CM Khandu also praised the introduction of tax reforms designed to simplify the tax system and enhance compliance, alongside incentives for startups and small businesses to foster innovation and entrepreneurship. 

 

"The Union Budget 2024 abundantly reflects the Centre’s indomitable resolve to ensure economic stability while addressing the pressing needs of the nation, thus embodying the beauty of a well-crafted fiscal plan," concluded the Chief Minister. /BI
