Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal directed the officers of the Irrigation and Water Resources Department to ensure videography of ongoing projects. This initiative would prove to be an effective way to improve accountability, transparency, quality control, and risk management.
While presiding over the meeting regarding the enhancement of projects of the Department, the Chief Secretary said that it will also provide valuable insights into the project's progress, and improve communication and collaboration among team members. He further directed that 21 projects of the Department costing Rs. 1102.8 lakh projects should be completed within the time-bound manner and the Administrative Secretary of the Department will ensure the parameters, enhancement reasons and supervision of these projects.
In the meeting, Commissioner and Secretary of the Department, Pankaj Agarwal apprised that these projects include rehabilitation and relining from RD 2435 to 13447 and 28000 to 40575 tail of Khajauri distributary of about Rs1.914 crore, Brick side lining from RD 0 to 8950 including reconstruction of three bridges of Padana drain of about Rs 6.77 crore, reconstruction of Samain Distributary from RD 0 to 54820 tail of about Rs 8. 15 crore, Rehabilitation of Lawan Distributary of about Rs 1.19 crore, Remodeling of Nigana Siwani link channel from RD 0 to 30200 of Rs 1. 05 crore.
Remodeling of Gaushala Minor from Rd 0 to 150 of Rs 5.98 crore, Pipeline for dewatering of agriculture land of village Malsari Khera of Rs 1.63 crore, Reconstruction of Single Span Steel grinder bridge at Rd 271741 Narwana Branch etc of Rs 8.29 crore, Rehabilitation of Gigorani Distributary from Rd 25000 to 56800 of Rs 2.78 crore, Construction of Sinchai Bhawan, Panipat of Rs. 7.78 crore, Reconstruction of VR bridge at Kaithal Drain of Rs 1.73 crore, Construction of HL bridge over Markanda River of Rs 9.93 crore, Construction of canal Rest House in Jind of Rs. 3.76 crore, Constructing Dhakla pipeline at Nawa Pond out falling into Kasni Minor of Rs. 2.04 crore, 117 Water recharge Bore wells in Shahbad block of Rs. 4.91 crore, 44 Water recharge Bore wells in Ismailabad block of Rs 1.70 crore and 80 Water recharge Bore wells in Pipli Block of Rs 3.06 crore. /BI/
