New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the MP Global Investors Summit 2025 in Bhopal on Monday, highlighting Madhya Pradesh’s growing role in India’s economic development. He said the state has become a major player in India’s electric vehicle (EV) revolution and offers strong potential for high returns on investment. The two-day summit, being held in Bhopal for the first time, has attracted top business leaders. Previously, it was organised in Indore.

Modi noted that global organisations have expressed confidence in India’s economy and pointed to Madhya Pradesh’s rapid development in recent years. He emphasised the state’s growing attractiveness for investors, particularly in emerging sectors like EVs.

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, speaking at the event, announced plans for multi-sector investments worth over Rs 1.10 lakh crore in Madhya Pradesh. The investment is expected to create more than 1.2 lakh jobs by 2030. He also said the Group is in discussions with the state government for additional projects, including a greenfield smart city, an airport, and a coal-gasification project, which would require an extra Rs 1 lakh crore investment. He added that the Group’s expansion in the state is far from over.
