Hyderabad: The Mission Karmayogi team, comprising members from the Capacity Building Commission and Karmayogi Bharat, met Governor of Telangana Jishnu Dev Varma in Hyderabad on 2 July 2025. The team briefed the Governor on the ongoing implementation of Mission Karmayogi in the state and received his encouragement to continue advancing the initiative.

Led by Alka Mittal (Member – Administration, Capacity Building Commission), Navneet Kaur (Director, Capacity Building Commission), and Soumi Banerjee (General Manager, Karmayogi Bharat), the delegation also met Telangana Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao and senior department heads to discuss capacity-building strategies for civil servants.

The team outlined the vision of Mission Karmayogi, which focuses on creating a future-ready, citizen-centric civil service through digital learning and competency-based training. A key part of the discussion was the iGOT Karmayogi platform, designed to provide anytime-anywhere learning opportunities for government officers.

Department heads shared their unique training needs and emphasised the necessity of department-specific learning pathways aligned with governance priorities. A major outcome of the discussions was the decision to onboard civil servants from multiple departments onto the iGOT platform. The role of state training institutions was also highlighted in facilitating this transition.

The Capacity Building Commission acknowledged the support received from the Governor’s Secretariat, the Chief Secretary, and the state administration, stating that these engagements reflect a shared commitment to enhancing governance through continuous learning under Mission Karmayogi.
