DPIIT partners with Apna to support talent acquisition for startups

New Delhi: The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has signed an agreement with professional networking platform Apna to enhance talent acquisition efforts for government-registered startups.

Under this partnership, registered startups will receive credits worth Rs 2,000 each on Apna’s platform. These credits will facilitate job postings and provide access to curated talent pools, enabling more efficient hiring processes.

According to the DPIIT, the initiative has the potential to significantly benefit the startup ecosystem. With 7 lakh registrations on the department’s Bhaskar platform, the current value of the programme is estimated at over Rs 140 crore. As the number of startups continues to grow, this value is expected to rise to Rs 300 crore.

The collaboration with Apna aims to provide startups with advanced hiring tools, improving job matching and operational efficiency. This move reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to fostering a supportive environment for India’s burgeoning startup ecosystem.
