Lucknow: The eUttar Pradesh Summit 2024, was held on November 14, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency in Lucknow, and was a major event aimed at advancing the state’s role in India’s IT and electronics sectors. With the theme “Powering the IT & Electronics Revolution,” the summit focused on accelerating technological progress, fostering digital growth, and shaping the future of electronics manufacturing both within Uttar Pradesh and across the nation.

 

The event was graced by Shri Brajesh Pathak, the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, who will serve as the Chief Guest. Keynote addresses were delivered by Sanket Bhondve, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, and Dr. M K Shanmuga Sundaram, Principal Secretary, Basic Education Department, Uttar Pradesh. Special addresses will be given by Anju Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary of Gujarat's Agriculture & Cooperative Department; Rabindra Narayan Behera, Member of Parliament for Jajpur, Odisha, and Standing Committee Member for Communication and IT; and Sunil Kumar Sharma, Hon’ble Minister of IT & Electronics, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The industry perspective was presented by Somesh Agrawal, Director, Legal & CS, Haier Appliances (India) Pvt Ltd.

 

The summit featured a series of panel discussions on key topics shaping India’s digital future. Sessions will cover India's IT revolution, the role of ICT initiatives in transforming various sectors such as healthcare, education, and manufacturing, and the government’s evolving policies on electronic manufacturing, data centers, startups, and semiconductors. One notable discussion focused on the growth of digital public services and infrastructure, emphasizing transparency, trust, and the enhancement of citizen experiences through technology. 

 

The summit also addressed cybersecurity concerns, exploring the role of emerging technologies in preventing cyber threats and ensuring data privacy in an increasingly digital world. Another important session delved into Artificial Intelligence (AI), discussing its trends, applications, and India’s potential to lead the global AI innovation landscape.
