New Delhi: The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), an autonomous scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, organised NIELIT Delhi’s Job Fair - “Yuva Rojgar Mela” on 29th September 2024. The fair took place at NIELIT Delhi’s office at Pankha Road, Janakpuri, New Delhi, to facilitate placement opportunities for NIELIT’s alumni and students. Sixteen companies shortlisted candidates for over 1000 job openings across various sectors. More than 1300 candidates registered for the event.
NIELIT’s Director General and Vice Chancellor of NIELIT Deemed to be University, Dr Madan Mohan Tripathi, was the Chief Guest and was warmly welcomed by Subhanshu Tiwari, Executive Director, NIELIT Delhi. The event was inaugurated by lighting the ceremonial lamp, followed by an address by Dr Tripathi.
In his address, Dr Tripathi highlighted the significance of the job fairs that NIELIT organises across India each year. He mentioned that over 6000 offer letters were distributed at last year’s fairs and expected this year’s number to rise. He also emphasised that these fairs empower skilled students to secure meaningful careers, contributing to organisational growth and economic progress. Dr Tripathi commended the efforts of NIELIT Delhi and acknowledged the companies participating in the fair.
An informative technical session on "Soft Skills - CV Building" was also conducted by Mohammad Junaid, Assistant Manager, Digital India Corporation, MeitY, during the fair for the attendees.
Placement desks were set up for companies, including Tech Mahindra, PAYTM, Frankfinn (Shavsi Global Services), Axis Bank, Hinduja Housing Finance, Access Health Care, Card Expertise India Pvt Ltd, Ebix Cash, I Process, PNB Metlife, Siddhi Infonet+Sony, The Khushboo Consulting Partners, VCOSMOS, Kaidoko, Shriji Entertainment, and Ritras Institute of Paramedical Sciences.
NIELIT has firmly established itself as a premier institution in Information, Electronics, and Communication Technology (IECT) and emerging technologies. Its extensive network includes over 52 centres across India and more than 8000 training partners. NIELIT Ropar (Punjab) has been granted Deemed to be University status, with 11 constituent units located across India.
The "Yuva Rojgar Mela" reflects NIELIT's commitment to supporting its students through capacity building, skill development, and placement assistance. NIELIT is dedicated to organising more such job fairs in the future.
