From Bahawalpur to Muridke, India takes the fight to terror factories: PM Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister addressed the nation on Monday following the success of Operation Sindoor, describing it as a direct response to Pakistan’s sustained support for terror. The operation, he said, is not over and will continue until every hub of terrorism is dismantled.

He dedicated the success of the operation to India's women, noting that many of the victims of the recent terror attack were women and children who witnessed their family members being butchered. The Prime Minister emphasised that the response was as emotional as it was strategic.

He accused Pakistan of operating full-scale institutions of terror, naming Bahawalpur and Muridke as the main centres. According to him, when Pakistan tried to erase the sindoor from the foreheads of Indian women, India responded by striking at the very roots of their terror infrastructure.

He confirmed that the Indian Armed Forces have hit over 100 targets during the operation, a clear indication that Pakistan has been repaid in a manner it understands. The Pakistani Army, he said, has been exposed as weak and hollow compared to the capabilities of the Indian forces.

The Prime Minister made it clear that every inch of land in Pakistan that shelters or supports terrorism remains within the reach of Indian forces. He asserted that it was not India but Pakistan that came begging for peace, unable to cope with the military pressure. The Pakistani Director General of Military Operations was the one who reached out to his Indian counterpart seeking de-escalation.

Operation Sindoor, he said, is still underway. The Indian response to terrorism will no longer be restrained by old rules. Going forward, there will be no distinction between terrorists and those who support them. Nuclear threats will not deter India, and the new normal will be defined by decisive action.
