Kolkata: Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd (GRSE) - a Mini Ratna Category 1 defence PSU and a major player in the field of warship construction in India - marked its 64th Raising Day with great enthusiasm.
During the Raising Day event, all employees of GRSE participated wholeheartedly in the presence of Cmde PR Hari, IN (Retd), who is the Chairman and Managing Director, RK Dash, Director, Finance, Cdr Shantanu Bose, (Retd), Director (Shipbuilding), Mihir Kumbhakar, CVO and other senior officials of GRSE.
As part of the occasion, Cmde PR Hari launched the Shipyard's annual in-house journal - 'GRSE Varta 2022'. The event began with the presentation of merit awards to the children of employees, and awards were also given to employees who demonstrated outstanding performance in various categories. Throughout the event, employees and their family members participated in various cultural activities.

The event was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm. GRSE has been at the forefront of building cutting-edge warships for the Indian Navy and Coast Guard, and its contribution to the nation's defence has been commendable.

The shipyard has a remarkable record of building a diverse range of vessels, from 05-ton boats to 24,600-ton Fleet Tankers, including world-class Frigates and Fast Attack Crafts.
