New Delhi: The 1992 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Manipur cadre Vineet Joshi has been appointed the Chairman of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Joshi is currently Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The post of CBSE chairman was being held by Manoj Ahuja, who has been appointed the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare.
“Consequent upon relieving Manoj Ahuja from the post of CBSE chairman, the charge has been assigned to Vineet Joshi, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Education, in addition to his existing assignments,” a senior official in the Ministry of Human Resource Development said. Joshi has previously served as the Chairman of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). He is also the Director General of the National Testing Agency (NTA). /BI/
