Raipur: In a major administrative reshuffle, Chhattisgarh government led by Bhupesh Singh Baghel has transferred 20 IAS and two IPS officers. Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Subrat Kumar Sahoo, 1996 batch, has been relieved of additional charge of ACS, Water Resource Department, and given responsibility of Public Health and Engineering Department.
Ajay Yadav, 2004 batch IPS officer, who was posted as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Police Headquarters, has been given additional responsibility of IG of Surguja Range. The transfer order was issued late on Sunday. Vivek Shukla, 2019 batch IPS officer, has been shifted to the Police Headquarters as Assistant Inspector General.
Similarly, additional charges were given to Principal Secretary Manoj Kumar Pingua, while Agriculture and Farmer Welfare and BioTechnology Department Secretary Dr M Geetha was given the additional charge of Resident Commissioner, Chhattisgarh Bhawan, New Delhi.
The other IAS officers who were either given additional charges or transferred or relieved from charges were Amrit Kumar Khalkho, Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi, Avinash Champawat, Prasanna R, Ambalgan P, Dhananjay Dewangan, Neelam Namdev Ekka, Alex V F Paul Menon, and Bhuvnesh Yadav.
According to media reports, other IAS officers who have been transferred include Rajesh Singh Rana, Narendra Kumar Dugga, Abhijeet Singh, Rannbir Sharma, Sudhakar Khalkho, Jagdish Sonkar, Rituraj Raghuvanshi, Chandan Sanjay Tripathi and Tulika Prajapati.
