New Delhi: In a major administrative shuffle, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointments of multiple officers at the Joint Secretary/Joint Secretary equivalent level.
Chauhan Santa Chand, IAS (UT:1999), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances. Rama Shankar Sinha, IFoS (UT:1995), will serve as Joint Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying.
Monalisa Dash, IFoS (SK:2003), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH. Kesang Yangzom Sherpa, IRS (IT:1995), will join as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, while Mohit Yadav, (IFS:2002), takes on the role of Officer on Special Duty (OSD) (Joint Secretary level) in the same department.
Premjit Lal, ITS (1992), has been appointed Executive Director, India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), under the Department of Commerce. Balamurugan D, IAS (BH:2005), will serve as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Garima Bhagat, IRS (IT) (1996), has been appointed Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production.
Niraj Kumar, CSS, has been named Joint Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, while Manmeet Kaur Nanda, IAS (WB:2000), assumes the role of Joint Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. Rajat Agarwal, IAS (PB:2003), joins as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change. Ved Prakash Mishra, IRS (IT:2004), has also been appointed as Joint Secretary in the same ministry.
C Shikha, IAS (KN:2004), will serve as Joint Secretary, Department of Food & Public Distribution, alongside Sangeet, IDAS (2004). Ravi Kumar, IRSME (1992), has been appointed Joint Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries. Raj Kumar, IA&AS (1999), has been named Director (Finance), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Praveen Kumar Rai, IDAS (2003), and Rakesh Kumar Pandey, IDAS (2003), have both been appointed as Joint Secretaries in the Ministry of Home Affairs, along with Rajesh Gupta, IRSEE (2001). Ajoy Sharma, IAS (PB:1999), will take on the role of Joint Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment.
Dinesh Mahur, ITS (1992), has been appointed Joint Secretary, Ministry of Mines. P Bala Kiran, IAS (KL:2008), will serve as Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training. Anjan Kumar Mishra, IOFS (1998), has been appointed Secretary, Petroleum & Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.
Mukesh Mangal, ITS (1992), joins as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways. Gurneet Tej, IAS (KN:2006), will serve as Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade.
Abhilasha Jha Misra, IRAS (2000), has been appointed for an overall tenure of five years under the Central Staffing Scheme and will serve for a four-year term as Member Secretary (JS level) at the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) under the Department of School Education & Literacy. Amit Nirmal, ISS (2001), will take on the role of Joint Secretary, National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. Bhavna Saxena, IPS (AP:1996), has been appointed as CEO, Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) under the Ministry of Women & Child Development.
