Chandigarh: Air Commodore Harpal Singh has taken over the command of Central Servicing Development Organization, CSDO, a premier institution of the Indian Air Force.
Air Commodore Harpal Singh, who originally belonged to Jalandhar, Punjab, was commissioned in the AE branch of IAF on 30 September 1991. He has a vast experience on all variants of Mig-21 and is OEM trained, Russia, on Mig-21 upgrade, Bison, aircraft.
The Air Officer has tenanted various staff appointments at Air HQs and Command HQs. He was Chief Engineering Officer of an operational base in western Sector and Commanding Officer of ‘Ground Duty Officers’ Categorization Board.’
He is an alumnus of DSSC, Wellington and HACC at College of Air Warfare, Hyderabad., Prior to assuming the appointment of AOC, he was posted to RCI, Research Centre Imarat, DRDO, Hyderabad and was working on various indigenous weapon systems under development, said the Defence Ministry in a statement. /BI/
