Jammu: Six IAS officers have been reshuffled in Jammu and Kashmir with Rohit Kansal getting the charge of Higher Education in the capacity of Principal Secretary, while the charge of Power Development Department (PDD) has gone to Nitishwar Kumar, Principal Secretary to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

Kumar, an IAS officer of 1996 batch UP cadre, will also hold the charge of Administrative Secretary, Power Development Department and Managing Director, J&K Power Corporation Limited. Similarly, Kansal, an AGMUT cadre IAS officer of 1995 batch, will continue to hold charge of Administrative Secretary, Information Department and Principal Secretary (Coordination) to coordinate with the Government of India for review and monitoring of issues or projects in addition to his own duties.

As per the reports, Bipul Pathak, IAS officer of 1992 batch, AGMUT cadre, has been transferred and posted as Principal Resident Commissioner, JK House, New Delhi relieving Dheeraj Gupta, IAS, of the additional charge. Mandeep Kaur, AGMUT cadre IAS of 2004 batch, has been posted as Commissioner and Secretary, Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.

Prerna Puri, an IAS officer of 2006 batch, AGMUT cadre, awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, has been posted as Secretary, Information Technology Department relieving Amit Sharma, JKAS of the additional charge. Sushma Chauhan,  AGMUT cadre IAS officer of 2009 batch, has been posted as Administrative Secretary, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department. /BI/
