New Delhi: Bivash Ranjan, an Indian Forest Service (IFoS) has been appointed Additional Director General of Forests (ADGF), Union Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEF&CC).

Ranjan, who is an IFoS officer of 1989 batch of Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been appointed on the deputation basis under the Central Staffing Scheme of the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, as per an official order.

Meanwhile, Vinod Seshan, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre, has been appointed as the Director in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, New Delhi under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years. Seshan is an IAS officer of 2008 batch AM cadre. /BI/
