New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, ACC, has approved the appointment of IPS officer Anish Dayal Singh as the new Director General, DG, of Indo Tibetan Border Police, ITBP. Singh, a 1988 batch IPS officer of Manipur cadre, is currently posted as a Special Director, Intelligence Bureau, IB. 

Senior IPS officer Sujoy Lal Thaosen, who has been appointed DG of CRPF, had the additional charge of DG, ITBP. ITBP, with the strength of 90 thousand personnel, guards the 3, 400 kilometers of stretch of India-China border. /BI/
