Kerala government announces bureaucratic reshuffle

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has implemented a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring several IAS officers across key departments and creating a new ex-cadre post in the Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare Department.

 

A new ex-cadre post of Director of Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare has been created with a status equivalent to a Joint Secretary. Sriram V., IAS, who was serving as Joint Secretary and Officer on Special Duty in the Finance (Resources) Department, has been appointed to this role. He will also continue as Managing Director of the Kerala Financial Corporation until the end of the current financial year.

 

Adeela Abdulla, IAS, who was the Director of Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare, has been transferred as Special Secretary, Social Justice. She will also take on the full additional charge of the Women and Child Development Department.

 

Abdul Nasar B., IAS, Director of Fisheries, has been appointed as Special Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs. He will also hold additional charges as Special Secretary, Minority Welfare, and Director of Fisheries.

 

P.B. Nooh, IAS, Chairman and Managing Director of Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation (Supplyco), has been reassigned as Special Secretary, Transport. He will also serve as Chairman and Managing Director of Kerala Transport Development Finance Corporation.

 

Shibu A., IAS, Additional Secretary in the Public Works Department, will now also hold the full additional charge of Managing Director, Kerala State Pottery Manufacturing Marketing and Welfare Development Corporation.

 

Sudhir K., IAS, Director of Collegiate Education, will take on the full additional charge of Director, Minority Welfare Department.

 

Aswathy Srinivas, IAS, District Development Commissioner for Ernakulam, has been appointed as Chairperson and Managing Director of Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation (Supplyco). Her services have been placed at the disposal of the Food and Civil Supplies Department for this role.

 

Mohammed Shafiq, IAS, Deputy Secretary and Director of Programme Implementation, Evaluation, and Monitoring, will take on the full additional charge of Commissioner of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department. He has been relieved from his previous role as Managing Director of Kerala Transport Development Finance Corporation.
