Key administrative appointments made in Tamil Nadu

Chennai: In a major administrative reshuffle, Tamil Nadu state government has announced several key appointments to crucial positions. The changes aim to streamline governance and enhance efficiency. Notable among the appointments is Beela Rajesh, who will assume the role of Secretary in the Energy Department, succeeding Ramesh Chand Meena. Meena, in turn, has been appointed as the Secretary in the Special Initiatives Department under Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu.

The creation of the Special Initiatives Department, led by Vikram Kapur as Secretary, marks an important development in the state's administrative framework. The department has been formed on a temporary basis for one year, or until its requirement subsides, to focus on targeted initiatives and strategic projects.

In addition to these changes, other significant appointments include S Vijayakumar, formerly the Managing Director, Small Industries Corporation, who will now serve as Chairman and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Urban Infrastructure Financial Services Ltd.

S Swarna has been appointed as Managing Director of the Small Industries Corporation. Veer Pratap Singh, previously serving as the Additional Collector (DRDA) of Tiruvannamalai, has been designated as the Joint Commissioner (Intelligence) in the Commercial Taxes Department in Chennai.

Furthermore, J Vijaya Rani, Director, Sericulture, will assume the role of Additional Registrar of Cooperative Societies, while Asia Mariam, formerly Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Energy Development Agency, has been appointed as the Director, Minorities Welfare. Chandra Sekhar Sakhamuri, Joint Director, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, has been posted as Director, sericulture.

Ranjeet Singh has been posted as Additional Collector, Nagapattinam. P Alarmelmangai, previously serving as the additional collector (District Rural Development Agency) of Coimbatore district, has been posted as the additional collector (DRDA) of Salem district. S Suresh Kumar, Director, Minorities Welfare, has been appointed as the CEO of the Tamil Nadu Khadi and Village Industries Board.

These strategic appointments reflect the government's commitment to effective governance, ensuring experienced individuals are placed in key positions to drive progress and development in Tamil Nadu.
