Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has carried out a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring 25 IAS officers across departments and districts in a move aimed at strengthening governance and administrative delivery.
Among the key appointments, G. Sreekanth has been posted as Chief Executive Officer of the Jal Jeevan Mission, while Deepak Singla takes charge as Commissioner of MGNREGS. Dr Rajendra Bharud has been appointed Municipal Commissioner of Kolhapur, and Amol Yedge will serve as Municipal Commissioner of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.
On the district front, Vinay Gowda G.C. has been posted as Collector of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Kumar Ashirwad as Collector of Nagpur, and Karthikeyan S. as Collector of Solapur. Sanjita Mohapatra has been named Municipal Commissioner of Sangli-Miraj-Kupwad.
The reshuffle also involves several changes at the level of collectors, municipal commissioners and Zilla Parishad chief executive officers, indicating a wider administrative realignment across the state. The exercise is seen as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency and streamline governance at both urban and district levels.
