Major administrative reshuffle at the Centre, 17 officers get new postings

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved several key appointments.

Rameshwar Prasad Gupta, a retired IAS officer, has been appointed Chairman and Managing Director of Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. He will hold the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India on a contract basis for a period of two years or until further orders.

Bharat Lal, a retired Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officer, has been appointed Secretary General, National Human Rights Commission, with the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India, on a contract basis for one year or until further orders.

Atal Dulloo, presently serving in the cadre, has been appointed Secretary, Department of Border Management in the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Vibhu Nayar, currently working as the Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor in the Ministry of External Affairs, has been appointed the Special Secretary and Financial Advisor in the same ministry.

TK Ramachandran, who currently serves as the Chairman of VO Chidambaranar Port Trust in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, has been appointed Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways.

Sudhansh Pant, an IAS officer, will assume the role of Secretary in the Department of Health and Family Welfare under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

S Gopalakrishnan, an IAS officer, has been designated as the Director General of the National Productivity Council in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade. He will hold the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India.

Debashree Mukherjee, an IAS officer, has been appointed as the Secretary of the Department of Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation in the Ministry of Jal Shakti.

Nivedita Shukla Verma, an IAS officer, will assume the role of Secretary in the Department of Chemicals and Petro-Chemicals under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.

Renu Gonela Pillay, an IAS officer presently in the cadre, has been appointed Secretary, National Commission for Scheduled Castes in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

Seema Jam, an IAS officer presently in the cadre, has been appointed as the Member Finance of the Space Commission. Additionally, she will also hold the additional charge of Member Finance for the Earth Commission and Atomic Energy Commission.

Pankaj Agrawal, an IAS officer, will assume the role of Secretary in the Ministry of Power.

Chanchal Kumar will take over as the Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

Rajat Kumar Mishra, an Additional Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, has been appointed as the Secretary of the Department of Fertilizers in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.

Subhas Chandra Lal Das has been appointed as the Secretary of the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.

In addition to these appointments, the ACC has approved the in-situ upgradation of Pramod Kumar Tiwari, an IAS officer, as the Director General of the Bureau of Indian Standards in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. He will hold the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India.

Vijay Kumar, currently serving as an Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Cooperation, has been appointed as the Special Secretary in the same ministry. /BI/
