Major bureaucratic reshuffle in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: On Monday, the Kerala government announced a significant reshuffle of IAS officers.

Rajan N Khobragade, additional chief secretary (health and family welfare), has taken on the cultural affairs department. Rathan U Kelkar, secretary (electronics and IT), will now also oversee the cooperation department.

Pranabjyoti Nath, secretary (sports and youth affairs), will manage the minority welfare department in addition to his current roles. S Harikishore, formerly director of the industries and commerce department, is now secretary of the information and public relations department while maintaining his previous responsibilities.

M G Rajamanickam has been reassigned as secretary of the revenue (devaswom) department and will also serve as mission director, AMRUT. Anupama T V, returning from leave, joins as special secretary of the local self-government department (LSGD).

Seeram Sambasiva Rao, previously director of the survey and land records department, has been promoted to principal director of the LSGD while retaining his former duties. Haritha V Kumar transitions from director of the mining and geology department to director of the women and child development department.

Premkumar V R is the new managing director of the KWA in the water resources department (WRD). Dinesan Cheruvat is now director of panchayats, and Suraj Shaji becomes director of urban affairs, also serving as CEO of LIFE Mission.

Binu Francis joins the WRD as joint MD of the KWA and takes on additional roles as executive director of the Kerala Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (Jalanidhi). Harikumar K moves to the mining and geology department, continuing as deputy secretary and director of programme implementation, evaluation, and monitoring.

Additionally, IPS officer K E Baiju, assistant director (training) at Kerala Police Academy, has been appointed SP, economic offences wing of crime branch, Ernakulam range. /BI
