New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has cleared the promotion of IPS officers Manoj Shashidhar and Sampat Meena to the post of Special Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
An official order from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) stated that Manoj Shashidhar, a 1994 batch IPS officer of the Gujarat cadre currently serving as Additional Director, CBI, will take charge as Special Director. He will serve in this role until his superannuation on November 30, 2030, or until further orders.
Sampat Meena, an IPS officer of 1994 batch and Jharkhand cadre, who is also serving in the CBI, has similarly been elevated to the rank of Special Director. Both appointments come as part of the ACC’s latest round of senior postings in key investigative and law enforcement agencies.
