Nagesh Singh appointed India’s Ambassador to Thailand

New Delhi: Nagesh Singh, an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer of the 1995 batch, has been appointed as India’s next ambassador to Thailand. He will replace the incumbent Ambassador Suchitra Durai.

“Shri Nagesh Singh (IFS: 1995), presently Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Thailand. He is expected to take up the assignment shortly,” said the Ministry of External Affairs in a press statement.

Singh has served as the Consul General of India in Atlanta. He holds a Master’s degree from the Delhi School of Economics. He is presently working as a Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs. /BI/
