Mumbai: Senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Bhushan Gagrani has been appointed Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) to Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Gagrani has replaced Ashish Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Transport, who was holding the additional charge.

According to an official notification, Gagrani, an IAS officer of 1990 batch of Maharashtra cadre, will continue to head the Urban Development Department, along with Marathi language. He will also continue to hold the additional charge of the Water Resources Department.

It is worth mentioning that Gagrani had earlier worked in several key departments including Industries, Public Health, MIDC, State Tourism Development Corporation, CIDCO, and MSRDC. /BI/
