Pune: Vice Admiral Anil Jaggi has assumed charge as the Commandant of the National Defence Academy (NDA) at Khadakwasla, succeeding Vice Admiral Gurcharan Singh.
A graduate of the Indian Naval Academy, Vice Admiral Jaggi brings over three decades of experience as a Navigation and Direction specialist. During his naval career, he has commanded the missile vessel INS Veer and the stealth frigate INS Sahyadri, displaying strong operational and leadership skills.
He has held several key appointments in Command, Staff, and Diplomatic roles, including Naval Advisor at the Indian High Commission in London, Commodore (Foreign Cooperation) at Naval Headquarters, and Flag Officer of the Gujarat and Maharashtra Naval Areas.
With Vice Admiral Jaggi taking over, the National Defence Academy is expected to continue its focus on academic, physical, and leadership excellence in training future officers of the Indian Armed Forces.
