New Delhi: Casio India has launched the second edition of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) campaign, Recycle Responsibly 2.0, widening its focus on responsible electronic waste (e-waste) management and environmental sustainability.
This year, the initiative will reach more than nine major cities including Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Ghaziabad in two phases, with the first phase starting on 29 September 2025.
The campaign is being implemented in partnership with SHEOWS, Allied Waste Solutions (AWS), Onika Social Welfare Foundation, self-help groups, NGOs, and other community organisations. By tapping into cultural and community platforms such as residential societies, schools, corporate parks, marketplaces, and public events, Casio aims to make recycling accessible and relevant to everyday life.
One example of this community approach is the Raj Nagar Extension Puja Evam Sanskritik Trust, which has linked the theme of “Choose Victory Over E-Waste” with festive celebrations. Through pandal installations and thematic displays, the Trust has encouraged citizens to donate unused or end-of-life electronics. Their efforts have drawn appreciation from Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and well wishes from Textile Minister Giriraj Singh.
The campaign covers awareness and collection of a wide range of electronic products including calculators, watches, mobiles, chargers, TVs, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, fans, speakers, and other household appliances. All collected e-waste will be channelled to authorised recyclers in line with India’s E-Waste Management Rules 2022 and the Government’s Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment).
Speaking on the launch, Gurmeet Singh, Legal Head at Casio India, said:
"Responsible recycling is not just about compliance - it is about contributing to a more sustainable planet. Through the Recycle Responsibly campaign, we intend to inspire individuals and communities to take small actions that collectively create meaningful environmental impact."
With its second edition, Recycle Responsibly builds on the first campaign’s success, extending its footprint across Delhi NCR and beyond, while highlighting how public celebrations can be a catalyst for behavioural change in e-waste management.
Casio has been integrating sustainability into its operations by reducing its carbon footprint, promoting resource conservation, and encouraging responsible practices. Recycle Responsibly 2.0 adds another step to this commitment.
