New Delhi: Feeding India marked Children’s Day with a nationwide initiative that reached more than one lakh children across 150 cities. Over 500 volunteers visited 500 schools and learning centres with boxes filled with toys, games and educational materials, creating moments of joy for children who seldom have access to such resources.

The organisation partnered with several brands, including Mattel®, Mirada, Smartivity, Skillmatics and Imagimake, to curate items that encourage creativity, cognitive development and social engagement. Children received Barbie®, UNO® and other Mattel® games, Mirada plush toys and colouring books, puzzles from Smartivity and Skillmatics, and DIY kits from Imagimake.

A Feeding India spokesperson said, “Every child deserves to experience the simple joy of play and the wonder of learning. This Children’s Day became a milestone for us and over one lakh children as a day when they unboxed not just gifts, but tools for imagination and growth.”

The initiative extended to institutions under Feeding India’s Daily Feeding Program, which provides nutritious meals while supporting broader development. By blending consistent nutrition with learning-oriented experiences, the organisation aims to give children in underserved communities the chance to grow, explore and aspire.
