Srinagar: The PwC India Foundation has launched a community development initiative in collaboration with Yuva Unstoppable to support families affected by infrastructure loss in Naushera, Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir. The effort focuses on rebuilding essential housing infrastructure and restoring livelihoods for over 50 families across local villages.
Through this programme, families are receiving resources to repair damaged homes and livestock to help re-establish financial stability and create sustainable income opportunities. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to empowering marginalised communities in regions where access to private sector CSR funding has traditionally been limited.
Jaivir Singh, Vice Chairman, PwC India Foundation, and Amitabh Shah, Founder and Chief Inspiration Officer, Yuva Unstoppable, recently visited the project site to review its progress.
“Our initiative in Jammu and Kashmir with Yuva Unstoppable aims to bring immediate and sustainable relief, aligning with our broader vision to serve marginalised communities, and where private sector CSR funding has had limited reach,” said Jaivir Singh, Vice Chairman, PwC India Foundation. He added, “By focusing on structurally damaged homes and lost livelihoods, we are committed to delivering essential aid to those who need it the most.”
“Collaborating with the PwC India Foundation allows us to extend our reach and deliver support to communities in need,” said Amitabh Shah, Founder and Chief Inspiration Officer, Yuva Unstoppable. “Our efforts address key housing needs and revive crucial income streams by replacing livestock, helping families move towards economic self-sufficiency and stability.”
The programme combines the PwC India Foundation’s focus on creating measurable social impact with Yuva Unstoppable’s on-ground implementation experience. In the coming months, it will be executed in phases, covering household assessments, timely distribution of repair materials, livestock replacement, and coordination with local stakeholders in hard-to-reach border areas.
The PwC India Foundation continues to work towards strengthening resilience in vulnerable communities through projects that deliver tangible improvements in living standards and long-term stability. This initiative reflects its commitment to creating meaningful impact through targeted interventions in regions most in need of support.
