Hyderabad: The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) held the Director’s Parade on Monday, setting the stage for the Passing Out Parade (POP) of the 77th Regular Recruit (77RR) batch of Indian Police Service probationers.
Led by Anjit A Nayar, an IPS probationer from the Tamil Nadu cadre, the parade featured 190 officer trainees, including 16 international participants from Bhutan, Maldives, and Nepal, reflecting the academy’s growing role in fostering international collaboration in police training.
SVPNPA Director Amit Garg inspected the parade and addressed the officer trainees, commending their discipline, commitment, and the values that define the Indian Police Service. The event also saw 41 academy officials receiving the Director's Commendation Roll & Insignia and Director's Commendation Roll for their contributions to training and administration.
Among the awardees, Kirti Yadav from the AGMUT cadre was honoured with the Medal for Best Probationer in Drill, while Bansode Pratik Dadasaheb from the Chhattisgarh cadre received recognition as the Best Probationer in Musketry. Kuenga Lhendup of the Royal Bhutan Police was awarded the Medal for Best Gentleman Probationer in PT, symbolising the academy’s emphasis on both physical endurance and character.

The Director’s Parade, held on the rain-washed grounds of the academy, offered a glimpse into the precision and discipline that define the institution’s legacy. Founded in 1986, SVPNPA continues to train future IPS officers to meet the evolving challenges of policing and public service in India.
The Passing Out Parade of the 77RR batch will mark the completion of their 11-month foundational training, preparing them to take charge as Assistant Superintendents of Police across the country.
