ACC nod to appointment of senior bureaucrats as Joint Secretaries

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the appointment of senior bureaucrats as Joint Secretary or Joint Secretary equivalent level with pay at Level 14 of the Pay Matrix, said the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and Training  in a statement.

Asangba Chuba, lAS (BH: 2003), has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Usha Padhee, lAS (OD: 1996), while Ajit Bhalchandra Chavan, CSS, as Additional CEO, GeM SPV, Department of Commerce, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Deepak Kapoor IA & AS (1998).

According to the official order, Vishwesh Negi, IFS (2002), has been appointed as OSD (JS level), Department of Defence, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Somnath Ghosh, IFS (1997) and Jayant Kumar, IRSME (1995), as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a combined tenure of seven years up to 02/10/2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Puneet Agarwal, lAS (TR:1998).

Shalabh Tyagi, IRSEE (1997) has been posted as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Chandraker Bharti, AS (UT:1996), and Sanjog Kapoor, IRS (IT) (1999), as Joint Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Education, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years up to 20/10/2026 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Darshana Momaya Dabral, IP&TA&FS (1990).

As per the order, Vinit Kumar, IRSEE (1994) has been appointed as CEO, Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVlC), Mumbai, under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a combined tenure of seven years up to 08/10/2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Preeta Verma, IPS (BH: 1991) consequent on completion of her tenure on 20/11/2022.

The order says that Indu Rani Dubey, IRTS (1994) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Nigar Fatima Husain, IDES (1996), while Som Dutt Sharma, CSS, has been appointed Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, with additional charge of the post of Director, lSTM.

P Manoj Kumar, ISS (1998) has been appointed as DG, Petroleum Planning & Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Praveen Mal Khanooja, IA&AS (1994), while R Lakshmanan, lAS (BH: 2004) is new Joint Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years up to 14/02/2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Vikram Singh, lRTS (1997).

According to the order, Hena Usman, IPoS (1999) has been appointed Joint Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice AK Tiwari, lAS (KN: 1990), and Prem Kumar Jha, IFoS (00: 1993) as Joint Secretary, Department of Sports, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years up to 19/09/2026 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Siddhartha Singh Longjam, IA&AS (1994). /BI/
