CBI Joint Director Vineet Vinayak gets President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service

New Delhi: CBI Joint Director Vineet Vinayak has been conferred with coveted President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service by President Ramnath Kovind on the occasion of Republic Day. He is a 1995 batch IPS officer of Sikkim cadre. He also served as the central range DIG in Patna while being in Bihar for nine years on state-to-state deputation. He also served as SP of Khagaria and Nalanda and SSP of Patna before being elevated to the rank of DIG. As many as 30 officers and officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have been awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and Police Medal for Meritorious Service by the President of India on the occasion of Republic Day, 2021. President’s Police Medals for Distinguished Service have been awarded to six CBI officers and officials while the Police Medals have been awarded for Meritorious Service to 24 other officers and officials. Apart from Vinayak, those who have been conferred with President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service are Sampat Meena, Joint Director, CBI, Lucknow; Saraladas Mishra, ASP, CBI, EO-III, New Delhi; Vivek Dhir, DSP, CBI, ACB, Jammu; Surender Kumar Rohilla, DSP, CBI, ACU-V, New Delhi, and Basant Singh Bisht, Head Constable, CBI (HQ), New Delhi. /BI/
